Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what data JMatcher collects, why, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and only collect what the service needs to work.

Account data

When you register we store your email address, optional name, profile photo and about-me text, and a securely hashed version of your password — never the password itself.

CV and profile data

If you upload a CV, its text is processed to extract a structured profile (skills, experience, languages, location preferences). The uploaded file itself is not stored or published. Your profile is kept in your account when you confirm it, and you can clear it at any time.

Job-search data

We store the searches you run and the jobs you save, track or create alerts for, so your dashboard, alerts and matches work across sessions.

Contact messages

If you write to us via the Contact form, we store your name, email and message so we can respond.

How we use data

Only to provide the service: matching jobs to your criteria and CV, sending job alerts you opted into, and replying to your messages. We do not sell your data.

Third-party processors

We use third-party job sources for listings, an AI provider to parse CVs and score matches, and an email delivery service for alerts and password resets. These process data only as needed to provide their function.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to stored data is restricted.

Your rights

You can access and correct your data in your dashboard, clear your CV profile at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated data via the Contact form.

Data retention and changes

We keep data while your account is active and delete it on request. If this policy changes, the current version is always available on this page.
